Super Best Friends is the Canberra band that gave the world the joy of seeing Tony Abbott and Kevin Rudd dancing poorly to punk music at the height of the 2013 Federal Election, in their viral music video 'Round & Round', produced by bass player Matt Roberts. SBF were famous for a week and backed up the music video with a national tour and support slots with Calling All Cars and Future Of The Left (UK). Forming out of the University of Canberra and the local music scene in 2005, Super Best Friends released three EPs, toured Australia multiple times and joined festival lineups like Fat As Butter, Stonefest and Groovin' The Moo, sharing bills with Public Enemy and The Living End. In 2014, the band went through a personnel change, but later reformed the original line-up to support Strung Out (USA) in 2016 and to farewell the old ANU Bar where Nirvana played in 2017. It's been an extended hiatus since then, but ya never know whose 40th they'll show up at next.
