Formerly a sixteen piece outfit called the intrepid cheeseaters, the genre smashing sURRENDER mUNKIES were born out of a disasterous barbeque in the dark blue November 2002. Chris Patrao, renowned rhythm guitarist and local bourbon connoisuer, made a simple suggestion and thirteen of the band members left in a huff, leaving: Chris (VIOLET HANDS, OTTOS' JACKET), Liam of the Bass (GOYAS' CHILD, SILICON BABIES, UNWASHED POTATOES), and Gypsy (The Gypsy)Robbins (MEN IN BLACK , VIOLET HANDS, SANDHURST SANITORIUM REHABILITATION CHOIR) on slide and Mandolin. Together they forged a new sound and finished off the coleslaw.The other thirteen were never heard of again and never will be because they were a bunch of talentless freaks who couldn't take a joke. The name "sURRENDER mUNKIES" came from an incident the next morning as Chris' girlfriend Kelly made scones while every one waited for the C.A.T team.
