Described as “quirky” Susan’s personality shines through in her music. Her songs seem to write themselves and just arrive out of nowhere in a spasmodic ethereal kind of way. It’s hard to put an adjective to her actual style of song except to say they are melodic and uplifting . Susan likes the idea of crossing the boundaries of music genres and intermixing styles to create a well rounded experience for the ears. She’s a little left of centre and likes to take her audiences on a journey of joy and fun, with a twist. Back from a recent venture up north to the Tamworth Country Music Festival Susan has played at the Seddon Music Festival, The Good Friday Hallam Country Roundup, and a host of other metropolitan gigs. She was recently a finalist in the Victorian and National Country Music Awards 2012 – Victorian Female Vocalist and also in the MusicOz 2012 in the Country Music section. Her album Butterfly, released last July, was launched on radio via Good Morning Country with Bill

With Arts SA grant funding Susan completed her second album, “Free Spirited” in SA with Anthony Stewart (The Sherrahs). The album was released March 9th during Adelaide Fringe 2018. The first single from the album, “MUSICAL JOURNEY”, spent 6 weeks in the Australian top 40 peaking at #13. It also reached #1 in the UK on a country music station, Spectrum Radio Pettswood, which earned Susan a berth in the 2018 Hall Of Fame. Her second single “TOUGH AS GERANIUM”, an ode to Port Adelaide, and the geraniums that grow there was written for the Semaphore Songs Project in 2015. It reached a peak of #19 on the national charts and #3 on the Tasmanian Top 30. This song is currently a finalist in the Tamworth Songwriters Association Awards 2019. Susan released “FEELING LOVE” in late September where it headed into the national charts to #25. It peaked at #14 in the Tasmanian top 30 and is currently still charting, now in it’s 6th week. “Feeling Love” was a semi-finalist in the TSA Awards 2019.
