Svengali is the brainchild of Australia’s most recorded songwriter Allan Caswell and innovative songwriter and producer Sven Tydeman. Svengali’s debut single Lift Your Heart Up … Lift Your Mind Up was written with lead singer Simon Anau and killer Philadelphia rapper Lael Rockwell with its politically positive message of racial harmony and an end to stupidity. The single is a launching pad for Svengali’s aim at being creatively cool, musically interesting, positive and trouble making. “We will comfort the afflicted then afflict the comfortable” Svengali is Swedish Australian/Tongan/Pommie/American hip hop, political soul at its best.
