Brigitte chose this because the birds themselves are beautiful, graceful, elegant, wild and fierce and because the word can be made into the acronym "Strong Women Are Needed." As she began to create her own tunes at age 14 she developed a preference for writing about socio/political issues and injecting focus and meaning into her songs. Brigitte lived in London for a number of years where she showcased her music in pubs, busked on the London underground and recorded her music, often collaborating also on the albums of other artists.
