Edit history

Sweet Oracle is an amalgamation of interesting people from different backgrounds. This is how we met- Maria was giving Nate singing lessons, till he proposed and they made a duet out of it. Maui and Nate met years ago in high school (in New Zealand) and occassionally jammed for fun. Nate and Scotty met studying music at Coolangatta. The current band line-up has been in effect since June 2005, when we decided to be more serious about our musical pursuits. Most of our time (and money) has been spent writing music, rehearsing and recording. We like to call our style "pop n roll' or "intelligent pop". Because of our different cultures (kiwi, aussie, latino, fijian, scottish, etc) and music history, there are jazz, classical, hip hop, reggae, rock and pop influences in our music. Lyrically our subject matter is both entertaining and purposeful as we share thoughts, ideas and morals. Our main goal as a band is to make dang good music for your listening ear. Hope it's sweet.
