A dynamic Contemporary Rockin’ Folk duo who write and perform a range of material from danceable high energy Rockin’ Folk, to tender ballads, humorous dittys and their brand of blues based acoustic rock. Josh plays an acoustic guitar with some effects and loops, sings backup vocals and plays the stomp box and foot tambourine. He provides the driving rhythms, wailing solos and catchy guitar accompaniment that Angela Smith (lead vocals and percussion) lays over her strong beautiful voice and master shaker playing. Influenced by their own Kindred, Love, Led Zeppelin and Jigzag, Swoon’s music is joyous, unpretentious and refreshing. "Swoon" is the solo recording moniker of singer/songwriter Adam Leng started in early 2020. Swoon blends influence of contemporary shoegaze with darkwave and indie, creating a unique, gloomy atmosphere. Growing up amongst GC/Brisbane’s AA hardcore scene has imprinted a strong DIY ethic on Adam’s life. Swoon embodies this DIY ethos, with all parts of the project created in house, From recording and mixing to screen printing and hand painting merch in the garage, this project is as real and homegrown as it gets! Swoon's newest EP "Rainbirds" is out as of the 27/5 and has already scored praise across the country. With the video for lead single "Glue" getting multiple RAGE plays, as well as the title track Rainbirds, being added to editorial Spotify playlists, the project is gaining a solid fanbase fast!
