Ta’sia (Annastasia Lucas) is a 26 year old female producer and multi instrumentalist, home grown in Wagga Wagga NSW. Skilled in a range of instruments her main are tenor saxophone with bass and beats. In 2019, Annastasia started her solo project ‘Ta’sia’ this music was produced using MPC 2000xl and sp404 samplers where tracks were created from vintage records, recorded bass and beats which she peformances live with a band. Between May 2020 and September 2023, she released a self-titled debut album and two singles. In June 2021, Ta’sia and Clarence Playford produced the 9 track album Beluga. Her most recent release September last year with artist Ena Malibu, ‘Interlude EP’ gained the attention on PBS,BBC and Triple Jay.  Annastasia over the years has been involved with Ackeron Street Music Studio, developing skills and self taught in recording and audio engineering. In October 2020 she was selected to participate in the Women in Music mentorship run by AIR and was mentored by Alice Ivy, building knowledge in production and career development from a music industry perspective.  Annastasia has been a mentor in the Massive band project ( large womens band Newcastle) Ta’sia peforms around Australia in her own band as well as bands such as Ile Ilu (Brazlian Womens band) Ripple Effect band (Western Arnhem land womens band) Issa Mane and the Blues In Force (Senaglese blues). She has peformaed at Barunga Festival, Garma Festival, Sub Sonic, Lost Paradise and Tanamon Valley Music Festival.
