With a background as richly layered as her harmonies, Tahlia was born in Sydney to a Finnish mother and a Croatian father (from Bosnia & Herzegovina), and raised in Taiwan. She found grounding in music, which ultimately became her channel for self-discovery and understanding herself through cultural synthesis. The singer graduated from Newtown High School of Performing Arts where she excelled in music, and soon thereafter was accepted into the VOX - Sydney Philharmonia Choirs performing at venues like the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Town Hall. This experience refined her musicianship and instituted her growth as a performer, collaborator and songwriter. Since moving to Berlin in 2020 to complete her studies at the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), Tahlia has honed in on her solo project, playing local stages including, Hank Chinaski, Bar Bobu, 800A Bar & Cabaret, and ARTlinersBerlin - all before releasing a single. Beyond Germany, her sound has reached international audiences including, Lazybones Lounge Restaurant & Bar in Sydney, and Academia Club Ghetto in Split, Croatia. Now, with her debut single 'Get me there' out in the world and more music in the works, Tahlia is stepping into her own, carrying every influence, every home, and every stage along the way.
