Bio history
Tailor Birds’ debut album is the creation of electric violinist, Sophie Kinston. After recording and performing for various Australian singer/songwriters, she has recorded her new solo album, 'Runaway Sailors, Stay At Home Wives'. Recorded in Amsterdam in the summer of 2012, with producer, Rick van der Ree, this is a crossover of electronic, experimental, classical sounds. Moving between instrumentals and beautiful ballads, the album features lush strings, surrounded by electronics, vocals, guitars, piano, and more. Formally of the Rosie Burgess Trio, she has also performed for the likes of Hussy Hicks, Sally Dastey, Freya Hanly, Marshall and the Fro, amongst others. She has been firmly set in the folk/roots scene, and now after recording a number of albums for other artists, she is set to release her debut album, 'Runaway Sailors, Stay At Home Wives'. The majority of this was recorded in one month, in the summer heat of Amsterdam, in an old refugee home, produced by Rick van der
