Spilling their raw energy into a large vat of musical genres, stirring it twice, and then once more to create a sound that is uniquely theirs, ‘The Toys’, as their fans affectionately call them, will infect you and command your attention no matter what your musical scene. Making themselves extremely hard to categorize, this five piece seamlessly blend metal, rock and alternative genres, drawing on influences such as The Butterfly Effect, Metallica, Sevendust, Incubus and Cog to name a few. Last year saw the release of their second EP ‘Sleep Stories’, for which they boys won a fully funded MusicNSW grant to record. However, after the setback of having to replace their long-term bass player, they spent the rest of the year in the studio refining their sound. With the arrival of 2010, Tainted Toys are now ready to once more burst into the local scene with their sights set for Global Domination!
