Israeli-American artist Tal Cohen-Shalev has defied classification by creating music beyond the predefined notions of his genre. From his 2009 singer-songwriter inclined debut Heartaches and Ashes to 2023's nihilistic doom and gloom electronica of Sodom is Back, he has constantly pushed the boundaries of his genre into a stylistically ambiguous and unique pastiche of sounds, textures and styles.
