I have been waiting to grow out of music. But as one of my friends said when she was at a gig “it f****ing haunts you.” And so I have given up trying to give it up and am now at the stage where I want to explore what is it about this thing that affects us all in different ways. These days I am interested in the poetic and narrative aspect of lyrics and the magic of interesting chord progressions. I lived in Byron Bay for a bit in 2004 and performed at the Rails and Buddha Bar. Last year I was on the DCMS compilation album and performed at Bar Me, Bar Broadway, Coopers Arms hotel and a few other Sydney venues. I have just finished writing the music for an Arabian style pantomime, which is currently being performed. To end, I would like to quote the fridge poetry in our kitchen: “Ask us why music gives us joy and we will compose glorious experiments of absurd wild song.”
