Edit history

Tangent Theta is a rock band from Sydney, Australia. The band started as the bedroom recording project of 22 year-old multi-instrumentalist and songwriter John Cotter. With an extensive backlog of ideas and demos, the band began performing around Sydney in 2017 with live band members Mitchell King (bass, vocals) and Tim Saal (drums, vocals). Their sound is heavily influenced by the psychedelic pop of the 1960s and its British beat predecessors, with a focus on vocal harmonies, bouncing bass lines and crunchy guitars built around simple melodies. Their debut single ‘Ironic Pentatonic’ was released in April 2019.
