Tara Minton is a harpist, singer/songwriter and cheeky hopeless romantic. Born in Melbourne, Australia her love affair with music began at aged 7 when she discovered the piano and intensified at age 10 when she began learning the harp. She skipped merrily down the winding road of music performance, obtaining a Bachelor of Musical Theatre and her A.MusA Diploma in Classical Piano in 2006, and then decided with iron will in 2007 to become a full time musician and songwriter. Thus ensued a roller coaster ride of love, passion, desire, excitement, betrayal, disappointment, loss, cheese, red wine, friendship, adventure and a heart overflowing all documented with honesty and sensitivity in her songs. A born story teller Tara now plays regularly with "Gumby" (her harp) everywhere from pokey little pubs and cafes around town to shows at the Port Fairy Folk Festival, orchestral gigs at Hamer Hall and club events with international star DJ's Martin Solveig and DJ Meme.
