Team Friends Unite! is not a cult. It's more like a family band. It's also the new indie-folk songwriting project from Adelaide's Max Tulysewski of Donnarumma and formerly The Heggarties and Bearded Gypsy Band. With an emphasis on joy and absurdity, the music of TFU! is optimistic and aims to meld the ebullience of Bright Eyes and The Decemberists with the social conscience of Jason Isbell and John K. Samson. TFU! also features Max's longtime friend/collaborator Kyle (of Something to Rescue) on bass, Kyle's partner Zinia on keys and a horn section comprising of Max's partner Bree on tenor sax and his sister Grace on alto sax. As previously stated, this is not a cult - but, no one's allowed to leave.
