Hailing from Perth Wa Tecumseth ( pronounced Te-cum-see ) formed in mid 2015 while Nathan Mitchell was living abroad in Toronto. Struggling to pay rent he sold his 1970 Fender Jazzmaster and bought an amp and a cheaper guitar and began to write his feelings about the last year. Drawing on inspirations as wide as explosions in the sky to the national, he then recorded six songs in his mid size Parkdale apartment. Those six songs completed Tecumseth’s debut record ‘ The Moment I Found You/The Moment I Found Myself’. 2016 saw the coming together of the live version of Tecumseth, playing various shows around Perth to incredible feedback. The 2018 follow up to the melody driven debut, takes a darker turn. ‘ The Comfort Of Home ‘ sees The sound of Tecumseth grow with stunning guitar tones, beautiful lo-fi piano, brass instruments and layered synths ‘ The Comfort Of Home’ is a captivating 43 minute record.
