Temple Shirley combines song writing of theatre composer Guy Dowsett with sonic talents of producer Dave Higgins and is fronted by manically excited, loud and long Paully Rowe. Paully is revered for his boundless energy on stage, his comic twists and raucous antics. His showmanship is unforgettable. Six-piece Temple Shirley invigorates with bursts of rhythm, circus sonorities and poignant subject matter, delivered with vigour. Dave's worked with such household names as Jocelyn Brown, The Brand New Heavies, not to mention his sister, Missy Higgins. Guy spent 5 years as resident composer for Czech absurdist theatre group Krepsko and composed for a long list of directors, ensembles and orchestras, currently in-house composer/sound designer for Circa Nica in Melbourne. The sonic flavour is shaped by cellist and sound sculptor Jack Berryman and Darcy McFall drives it with his bass guitar. Codifying the sound is Ben Thomas with 80's keytar and vocal talkbox.
