Test Tube Dinosaurs is a one-person alternative rock band from Sydney, Australia. The group was formed in 2014 as a studio project by songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Bertrand Russell Gilbert, who dreamed of making a human centipede with Bowie at the front, Fine Young Cannibals in the middle and Ween at the end. After sharing a few DIY recordings, the band embarked on a run of solo shows and enlisted producer Jason Whalley for a handful of piecemeal recording sessions at the Pet Food Factory in 2016-17. With the resulting EP, 'Mystery Bags', due out any minute now, Gilbert is looking to expand the group’s lineup while pursuing his plans for musical greatness, world domination and whole-dollar Spotify royalty cheques.
