Emerging from the underbelly of Queensland’s Sunshine coast, THE AILMENT started cultivating their blend of death metal and modern hardcore in late 2008. Releasing an independent EP, “Evolution into Apocalypse” in mid-2009 and performing heavily throughout south east Queensland, the 5-piece entered RTD studios on the Sunshine Coast to produce their debut full-length album, “Dead Ends”; 11 tracks of brooding emotive heaviness combining the technicality and brutality of modern death metal with bouncing grooves and crushing breakdowns. With a devastating live show and admirable dedication to their music, this band seems to be moving rapidly towards the forefront of the Australian heavy music community.
