The Approach started in late 2009 with a few Lineup changes, a dodgy demo and numerous shows around Victoria. In September 2011 The Approach went into the studio with Melbourne Hardcore icon Martin Kirby to record a 4 track CD, mixed and mastered in Boston, USA by renowned producer Jay Maas (Verse, Carpathian, Have Heart) their efforts combined have led to a truely unique sound. The Approach are heavily influenced by the rich Hardcore scene melbourne has to offer seeking influence from all sides of melbourne hc; metalic hardcore, emotional hardcore and punk. The Approach are on their way up to be the next hc heavyweights be on the look out for a show near you!

The Approach are a young hardcore band from the south eastern suburbs of melbourne, taking influency of many heavyweights of the aggressive genre, the approach fuses a metallic groove feel of thrash and doom with straight up hardcore punk.
