The Astronaut Headdress is a five piece alternative prog rock band from the regional city of Toowoomba, Queensland. One might say the sound of The Astronaut Headdress reflects elements of progressive, funk, and blues rock. However, identifying with any one particular genre label is not really a focus for the band. With length not an issue, The Astronaut Headdress brings about extended, uniquely composed tracks that will make you tingle. With spacey keys, melodic guitar riffs, grungy vocals, energetic drums, and punchy bass, you'll be entranced into some sort of strange sweet zone. Not only the sounds will have you on your feet, but the sheer emotional content and often strange and deep concepts behind each song is completely enthralling. Some have said the lead singer peeks deep into the souls of the audience whilst she is on stage.
