The Backs have been at it since 2014, having released two EPs and a number of stand alone singles in that time. Originally conceived as the bastard child of Rowland S. Howard and Pavement, the sound has moved slowly towards straight up garage post-punk with prominent hometown Melbourne influences, including as much stuff from today as from 30 years ago. The Backs’ live shows guarantee high energy, memorable lyrics and unpredictable headwear. New single GODZILLA 1954 (produced by Dougal Shaw of Cash Savage and the Last Drinks and Dr Sure's Unusual Practice) is out on May 15.
