Barefoot started in a Year 10 music class, our task was to write and record a rock song. Inspired by Annie’s comment about her broken shoe, we came up with our song ‘Broken’ and later came up with our name, Barefoot. After experimenting and evolving our sound, we found that we liked grungy guitar solos, a catchy bass riff and lyrics that you can’t get out of your head. Barefoot has become more than a school project for us, because making music is what we do.

The Barefoot Band Started off as 4 mates jamming around Bondi Beach in the Summer of 2010, Meshing Hip Hop with Reggae music. Ari (rapper), Ben (Vocals), Calvin (guitar) and Yoav (beatbox) began the journey with a song called The Big Blifta – exploring what they like to call Barefoot tunes. The following year the group left for Europe and the Middle East in an effort to bring home some different colours of music. Shortly after their arrival back home the band grew double its size. Elliott (bass), Taylor (Keys), Adam (Guitar) and David (Drums) joined the band in early 2012 to form a bunch of truly cooked humans with some sweet barefoot tunes. The Barefoot Band is back to welcome in the spring and summer with some Cruzin’ Music and some positive vibrations.
