The Beautiful Burn is a Trans-Tasman evolution of artists with an unlikely mix of musical backgrounds. The core group utilise their experience in live prog-rock and programmed electronica to create an intense wall of colour-sound that is composed of more synths than sense. Although 100% live, The Beautiful Burn are passionate about digital manipulation and their fused sound consists of layers of syncopated crisp guitar licks on a thick bedding of detuned power keys. The project in its latest form is a merger between band members Paul Innes and Jim McLuckie with tech-house Producer/Remixer Square Eyes (Mark Francis). The Beautiful Burn’s six track “Bombs and Arrows” EP will be available from December 1st on iTunes as a fully independent self funded release.
