Founder and Lead Guitarist Ian Wiggs started playing guitar five years ago with the intention to be in a Metallica or Pink Floyd cover band. However this wasn’t to be as Ian soon realised he could create his own material as both a guitarist and a songwriter. Ian soon turned his attention to writing only, leaving behind the idea of a cover band. Five years later Black Hand has arrived and naturally follows the ideals of high quality music which Ian set out to achieve. In April 2010 the band found itself new members, with Guitarist Alex Woolley, Bassist Andrew Collyer, Drummer Merrin Boldwin and Vocalist Chris Gorsuch completing the current line up. A common drive of quality music over genre defining clichés drives Black Hand to be different yet also familiar with each member bringing their own experience and influence into play.
