The Bland met up on Bland Street in Ashfield in the Inner West of Sydney. We are three teachers at the boys college there and one ex student from year 12 2011, Daniel Dydey, who is an outstanding guitarist. John Dunn wrote the songs and the band play all original songs with some more originals on the way from Nick the drummer. We began playing in venues around Sydney in January this year after recording our first EP last December a week or so before Christmas. We had only rehearsed the songs the afternoon before the recording at A# Sharp at Riverwood and Jeff Cripps the sound engineer said in all his years in the business he has never had a band come in and record an EP complete in 6 hours.
