The Bloods
Three kids from Sydney, Bloods have been peddling their garage-punk-pop tunes since 2011, playing alongside bands like Dum Dum Girls, Cloud Nothings, Veruca Salt, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Obits + a bunch more. “Rambunctious and spunky... their rugged energy reminiscent of likeminded acts Diet Cig and Hinds.” – Consequence of Sound
Forming in 2020, The Bloods are a five piece post hardcore band from Newcastle, Australia. Writing and recording during a COVID ravaged world, in 2022 The Bloods finally got to unveil their debut EP onto the world by playing to a sold out, hometown launch show. Releases throughout 2021, saw them rewarded with multiple songs listed on Spotify’s infamous ‘Homegrown & Heavy’ Playlist and being featured on Triple J’s Short Fast Loud. The Bloods toured Australia’s east coast in 2022, spanning every major city and headlining regional shows. Playing alongside bands like Frankenbok and Take Us To Vegas, the boys from Steel City have not only grown exponentially as a band, but have built a live show that leaves every crowd voiceless and on a euphoric high. The sound is best described as combining the melodies and sing along choruses of a pop punk anthem with the aggression of metal-core riffs, or as the band like to describe it, Party Metal.
