HISTORY Although history will show that "The Brothers Whaaa" officially formed as a band in 2008, the reality is somewhat more complicated. Friends Sam and CJ had known each other for about 7 years before they decided it was finally time to form an official band... of some sort, which finally became known by what was originally just a working title - The Brothers Whaaa. Trying to identify exactly when they started making music together is a hard task. Both had been teaching themselves how to play guitar for many years, and indeed Sam had been writing and recording demos at home for a number of years before the boys met. Once their mutual interest in songwriting was discovered, the two continued to work on their own material, using each other as a sounding board for new ideas or changes that might need to be made to an old song.
