In March 2006, Shane Barlow, Grant Daniel and Shannon Palmer decided after eight years of loving and making music together at one level or another, that it was time to apply a twist to the progressive roots they had their heads burried in for much of the early 2000's. Only a few months down the track the band had their first show (yes, it was on a Sunday night) and rocked out for an hour to 50-odd people. No one knew what was happening then, and still now not a week goes by that the band members don't have to explain what kind of sound they are trying to achieve. With an open mind one can bend the rules just slightly, to allow the best aspects of the rock world to hang out with those of the electronic world - this is what The Buffalarium has endeavoured to do...
