The Call Up play a tight brand of nervy post-punk and all-out hard rock, combining influences from The Drones, Grinderman and Radiohead. Their debut LP "Badlands" is a dense, layered record that captures the intensity of their live shows. Pulsing bass and muscular, distorted guitar anchor their songs of lust, desolation, and unmade love. Stream or download the 9-track album "Badlands" at http://www.thecallup.bandcamp.com
