Edit history

Formed in 2003. The Darling Buds are a five piece group whose music is firmly rooted in melodic and experimental rock. Their songs, whilst numerous in influence, are bound strongly in sound by the vocals of Andy Grant. With inventive arrangements, lush keys and the sublime talents of drummer Darren McMaster-Smith The Darling Buds have been able to ensure that both artist and listener be challenged but not excluded. Following the release of their debut EP, and subsequent launch, The Darling Buds have played a host of local shows including support for Phil Jamieson (Grinspoon) and the Maton Guitars showcase. After a brief hiatus that saw the departure of drummer Sam Lukeis, The Darling Buds are now well into post production with a new four track EP due to be released this August 2008.
