The Dated were formed when Ross Francis (lead guitar) and Keith Liyanagama (vocals, guitar) joined with Bill Maclean (guitar, vocals) and Damien Mark Dennehy (drums). The lineup settled at the end of 2016 with the addition of Tony Smith (keys, vocals). In August 2018 they released their debut EP 'Best Before 05 Jun 18', with distinctive artwork by Tony Smith. They are currently working on their follow up EP. With influences from the blues, through 60’s Brit Pop, Indie and Aussie rock, their sound has been described as "timeless, in that it defies easy genre beyond that of clever singer song-writing form writ large for full band delivery".
