Breaking onto the live Melbourne scene in late 2008, the hardworking 5 piece from Gippsland that are The Day Late are quickly making a buzz as one of Melbournes more individual and interesting bands. Embracing the ever growing alternative/prog rock scene, TDL take it a step further. With their live show being a dynamic sound scape of hard hitting riffs, melodically driven grooves and incredibly versatile vocals, TDL manage to make the audience their own and take you on a journey from start to finish. August 2008 seen TDL hit their own studio and start recording their debut EP. It was a bold statement of staying true to themselves that seen the guys take on the roles of producer, engineer and mixer during the sessions. The risk of not using a commercial studio or a well known producer never bothered them, as a ‘what you see is what you get’ approach developed. 4 months on and a lot of hard work later seen the guys emerge at the other end with their extended 8 track debut self titled
