Edit history

Hailing from the shores of Nelson Bay, Departed is a five piece metal/hardcore band that was forged from a love of the ocean and of music. All members have grown up surfing around the local area and from this common passion the band was formed. Looking to share a positive message through a genre which is often stereotyped as being negative, Departed combines purposeful lyrics with heavy and melodic instrumentation to create music which is made to inspire thinking and having fun. Having just recorded their demo the boys are already looking to the future, playing more shows and pushing their music further.

The Departed is a studio solo project by former Frankenbok singer/guitarist Adam B. Metal. The project came from Adam's lifelong goal to write, perform & produce an album of songs on his own, true to his musical passion. The Departed is the result of this. The Departed has now become a full fledged live band and has played numerous shows including supports for The Red Shore, Feed Her to the Sharks, Emerson and Adam's former band Frankenbok. The Departed are currently recording their 2nd as yet untitled album which will (hopefully) be out later in 2013.
