like a fire like a flame Theres this video game that I really used to enjoy called Monster Rancher. It lets you take different monsters and breed them together to form new and interesting monsters. I have always wondered what it would be like to do that with bands. If I were able to mix together Nick Cave/The Bad Seeds and Monster Magnet I think you would come up with a band that sounded very similar to this one. I love all the texture in this song provided ala background guitar squeals, feedback, various noises and sustain. The distortion on the guitars are not overstated which is really good because they would overshadow all that texture. But instead they are just at the sweet spot of eerie indie rock. Second let me just say that it was genious to put that effect on the vocals. SOunds kind of like a weird flange/boombox thing. Now sitting in the studio quite a bit myself I know you have to think, hmmm do we take a chance and do something weird with the vocals? Or will it screw
