Created in an effort to express their love of punk rock and Oi! music, The Didgeree Mackenros are a band who truly are devoted to putting on a good show. Hailing from Melbourne, all three boys are seasoned musicians having also played in bands Sounds Like Chicken and San Salvador. With the breakneck drumming of Carcass Mike, the well-timed bass lines of Dave “Oi” Powys and the solid guitar work of Nat “Warbler” Kitingan, the DMs are a live band in the best sense of the word. Drawing from their collective musical influences the DMs interlace fun, fast paced songs with meaningful lyrics and a real passion to perform for the crowd. Shout-a-long choruses and a real party atmosphere round off the DMs show, calling an audience to Oi their hearts out. The DMs have extensively toured the East Coast of Australia and having returned from a brief hiatus have just debut album, “The Backstreet Ois” (which is more of an EP really owing to the length of the songs).
