The Electric Primitives are a 2 piece rock and roll band based in Albury NSW. They write/perform/record material ranging from grooving hard rock, uptempo garage nuggets, and powerpop gems. They've been able to turn the limitations of the 2 piece format to their advantage, allowing them to play a range of styles that still sound like the Prims. They are made up of Mark Taylor on guitar and vocals a...nd Nathan Scholz on drums and backing vocals. They where formed in 2007 and initially recorded a couple of EP's (The Social Sabotage EP and the Almost Normal EP) just for fun. In 2009 they began writing new material and began playing shows in 2010. They have also been completing recording on an album themselves which features their friend Adrian Baker playing bass on some of the songs. They are planning a couple of releases for 2010. Nathan is a veteran of various local bands including Propaganda and Mark was a founding member of Riverina legends Mojo Squeeze and is a national award
