Edit history

The Glorious was founded in Melbourne in 2004 by longtime friends and collaborators Dave Mather and Dan Gard'ner. Initially a vehicle for Mather's songwriting, the band has slowly evolved into something more complete, enlisting a series of like-minded allies before solidifying a line-up with the addition of Joel Loukes on bass. The band released a self-titled EP before recruiting renowned producer Julian Mendelsohn (Paul McCartney, Belle and Sebastian) to helm their debut album. Showcasing classic songcraft, transcendent melody and a raw, clean sound, the record was released in late 2010. The band has just completed a follow-up, with Mendelsohn again handling production duties with Mather. The album will be released in late 2012.
