Originating in Hobart, The Heron Collective had been checking out the music scene and playing in many bands as individuals while never entertaining the thought of starting their own group even though they had been friends for many years. The guys were looking for something a bit different, yet still wanted to retain the roots of the '90's rock scene. It took a few beverages and a moment of clarity to realise that maybe they should get together and try to bring a unique and full sound to their music.
