Edit history

The Immaculate Crows were named and founded by Bruce Neilsen (songwriter/lead guitarist) in 1981. They were an Australian Brisbane based Alternative Group that covered a broad range of genres including Punk, Psychedelic, New Wave and Progressive Rock. They played roughly from 1981 to 1985 except when Bruce left to form two other groups: Insurrection and The Popes in 1984. They reunited and broke up again in 1985. Bruce became disillusioned with band politics and didn't play until 2020 when he had a reunion with former band member Mark Hocknell. New songs from this partnership have been released recently. All songs were written and arranged by Bruce and Mark produced and played on the initial tracks. Carolyn Neilsen recorded vocals and extra tracks and manages mix downs. Mastering is done by Kagen Step. All vocalists are locally sourced with some having had no or little recording experience. Mark ended the partnership in March 2021 and Bruce and Carolyn now produce all tracks.
