The Incredible Strand drag garage rock kicking and screaming into 2008. Surfer Kelly Slater loves the band and has included a new tune 'The Girl With The Sun In Her Hair' on his latest DVD. Their songs are three minutes of glorios angst that recall everything from The Saints to The Sunnyboys. A four-piece, here’s the back story … Do you know that waste area near the airport in Brisbane ... Pinkenbar? Let's assume they live in a small house there. The house looks run down from the outside, but inside it's something else. There are four people in the band. One day they sound like Talking Heads/Franz Ferdinand ... and the next they sound like The Saints. The band are a classic mix of two guitars, bass and drums. It’s ‘three chords … and the truth’ as The Incredible Strand knock out timeless riffs with clever lyrics and hooks that swim around the cranium for days. Where else will you hear a line like ‘you’re like a complicated math’s equation/I’m never gonna figure it out’?.
