The Liberated Citizens released their first album "You Will All Be Our Slaves" in early 2006. Written and recorded over 2 nights in 2005 in the steamy jungle of the Philippines, the album was a success in North Africa, and enjoyed by both Allies and Axis alike. Showcasing their hot new Ghetto Tech sound, The Liberated Citizens became so big, they relocated to Guatemala in mid 2006 to write their hotly anticipated new longplayer. But anyhow, August 2006 came, and so did the second record: "Y'all Ready For This?". It was dope. Check out those hot Ghetto Tech sounds coming through on 3 anthems from the album available on here at Triple J Unearthed (thanks Kingsmill): "F*ck Your Restructure"; "Chicken Soup For The Soul (Hold On)"; and "Life On The Streets" Visit their Myspace to hear "Words of Peace" (also from "Y'all Ready For This?") and their first real breakthru single "The French Tickler" from the debut album "You Will All Be Our Slaves". Listen up and then go and buy it motherf*cker.
