Hailing from the musical mecca of Ashburton, Melbourne, The Local Heroes were born when a supermarket Christmas party needed some musical entertainment. Three work colleagues (K9, DTM and Old Mate) teamed up with the Botanist to create supermarket themed songs including Register Please and Ensure Proper Rotation before realising they shared similar musical tastes. They then set about writing a string of number one hits. When forced to describe their sound the Heroes lean towards words like alternative, guitar rock and good.
