THE LONG AND SHORT OF IT BIO…. About three and a half years ago David Baird had decided to at long last, launch a solo career. Latching onto his trusty Maton guitar, he was performing at the "Pirates Tavern" in Melbourne's West when spotted by Patsy Toop who was cooking sausages for a charity gig at the same venue. She describes that she was memorized by his enchanting vocals and, fancying herself as a bit of a singer, she approached David to sing a tune together. That chance meeting has developed into a powerful collaboration with David on acoustic guitar and lead vocal, and Patsy on keyboards with blended harmonies. Both passionate about music, their "honey coated chocolate" harmonies really translate well with a crowd, and capture audiences wherever they play. Starting out with a small repertoire, they now cover a large range of genres, but particularly love "New Country".
