Canberra's The Love Recession uses denim-squeezing country rock to tell stories about love, loss and cities they've never been to. This band was forged in the fire of the most challenging global love conditions since the Great Depression. It is a band that supports love today by investing in the music infrastructure we need for tomorrow. In the worst of times it is a nation building band, carefully crafted to bolster love now, construct a solid foundation for future love, and position us to capitalise on the global love recovery when it comes. With Will Johns and Steve Paillas on guitars and vocals, ex-Simpletons band member Brad Cheers on bass, Jeremy Sung on keys and violin and Dave Landauer on drums, the Canberra five-piece has folk, blues and rock bases covered.
