In 2007 The Lunettes recorded an album called Poker Face of extremely heartfelt and amateur songs. We had a couple of fans on our MySpace page, made a couple of videos, got played on community radio and played one gig which pushed our collective anxiety to 10 on the Richter scale. Looking back we wish we had been more confident, less self critical and played more gigs, before the lockouts and lockdowns of this short attention TikTok, no venue time we found ourselves in. We have decided to re-release the album with two new songs and a film clip for ‘Broken hip” and ‘Execution song’, retitled Audrey’s Lament. (due to the unforseen over use of our original title) Now available on all streaming platforms to transport listeners to an angsty girlish world of sunglasses at all hours, full of wist and longing. Perfect for hangovers and isolation, but also inspiring hope and stoicism because 2022 is going to be so much more!
