Punk bluegrass ratbags The Lurkers met at a friend's backyard climate festival in Dural and played their first shows at The Sly Fox, Enmore. They released their first album in '09 before gigging in Germany and protesting outside the UN climate conference in Copenhagen, DK. They've played to packed houses across the south-east of this country from Woodford Folk Festival to the back of a semi-trailer in Hazelwood, VIC. In late '11 they released their full-length album 'Padlock and Chain' recorded with Dave Sparks at Pirate Studios in Bega, NSW. These days they split their time between looking after mini-Lurker babies and playing local gigs and protests around Sydney.
