Forming in Perth,WA in mid 2007 , The Magnetic South are Dave Berry and George Macfarlane. The pair share a love of mid to late 1960's music , in particular the psychedelic movement.Their first album was released in 2011 under the name Colourwheel. Unfortunately this name had to be dropped due to an outbreak of Colourwheels across Australia and the threat of legal action! So a new name was eventually chosen and The Magnetic South was it .On this new album penned by Berry and Macfarlane they have employed the services of several musicians including a few Berry's (yes they are related). The intention with this release was to make a cohesive listening experience , hoping the listener will be drawn in ,wondering where the music will take them next.
