Sydney based band The Makeup formed in 2007. The four-piece, guitar driven unit individually hail from opposing shades of the musical spectrum. This eclectic mix has enabled The MakeUp to craft an original sound which has many influences, including pop, post punk and progressive rock overtones. Reflective of these differences is singer/guitarist’s Leah Rushforth’s exploits on Australian Idol, where she was a semi-finalist in 2005, and drummer/multi-instrumentalist Terry Van Stee’s reputation in Seminal Punk bands.
